It has been ages since I posted in this....
Mainly because I have no idea what to *say* in this thing.

Needless to say, I'm still alive and kicking. We'll be moving soon (probably more information in the husband's LJ than mine) and I recently hit my first year at the job.

And...yeah. Still here. :)

More to come as I think of it.

It seems like you just got that new job "a few months ago." Where does the time fly?

Hi!

Sorry to post in your personal journal, but I couldn't stand to have the weirdjews community on my friends list any longer, and now I can't reply to the comment you left to me!

I'm in love with my Reform temple and would never think of leaving it, but I've been interested in dipping a toe into the Reconstructionist waters just from what I've heard. I may have to pay a visit to one near me and see what it's all about.

So yeah, you should definitely drop by the Reconstructionist temple. We're in Evanston, at 303 Dodge (Basically 3 blocks north of Howard, on California, if you're in Chicago). It's a really nice place - so inclusive of all types of people. We do a LOT of community projects, to help the Chicago area and beyond. I love it because I don't really believe in the traditional G-d of the Torah, and I don't really like organized religion at all, so I use the temple as more of a Jewish ethnic / cultural center. Recently, the first female Jewish rabbi, a rabbi from a Jewish coop in Uganda, and other interesting guests come to visit.

I love it, I get so excited when I tell people!
